(1) To recommend the appointment of the Vice-Chancellor and General Secretary, there will be a recommendation committee consisting of one female educationist nominated by the Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology under the coordination of the Chairman of the University Grants Commission.
(2) The committee as per sub-section (1) shall recommend to the Chancellor for appointment to the post of Vice-Chancellor and General Secretary from among the following persons who have obtained at least a master's degree from a university recognized by the Government of Nepal:- (a) from among renowned academicians who have worked for at least twenty years in the field of teaching or research, for the post of Vice-Chancellor, (b) teaching, Among the people who have worked in the field of research or administration for at least fifteen years in the position of Secretary General. (3) The procedure to be followed when the committee under sub-section (1) recommends the appointment to the position of Vice Chancellor and Secretary General shall be as determined by the committee itself.
